The Craft of Adventure -an exhibition, 4th July, 2009

The exhibition takes place at The Long Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre 6-9pm on the 4th July, 2009. The exhibition is open to the public to view, buy and celebrate the diverse and unique work of six adventure-seeking Tasmanian’s, all under the age of 25. All proceeds will be donated to the Non-Profit development work of Thamarai Learning and Community Centre in India.

Featuring:

• Surf Film “100 Reasons” by Liam and James Correy. The film follows their incredible unassisted, twenty-day bushwalking and surfing journey from Strahan to Malelucah in Tasmania’s remote Southwest.
• Jack Robert-Tissot and Liam Correy will showcase their finest wilderness photography.
• Sam J Nicholson and Billy Whims will provide live music; an original folk/electronic set.
• Guest speaker Marion Abraham will deliver a short speech of a traveller’s insight into Iranian politics, tales of 35 invitations to tea and 18 refusals to marriage.

Recommended entry of $20 for Adults or donation for students/pensioner/children for the evening showcase. Quality Tasmanian foods will be included with entry and drinks will be available for purchase. Photography viewing and sales between 10am-3pm Sat-Sun.
