Salamanca Cyclist Touring Club
Are you interested in joining others for a
friendly, relaxing bicycle ride on the weekend? If so, the Salamanca
Cyclist's Touring Club is the answer. Meet Sunday, 10.00am, Machine Laundry Cafe,
Salamanca Sq. BYO lunch (or buy along the way)and water. No joining fees or formal committee structure. The
arrangements are informal, flexible and non-competitive. Destination for the ride decided by those present
and often includes a coffee shop, ice cream parlour or winery. Rides accommodate everyone's wishes. Leaders and
tail enders self nominate. Sometimes we split up to include a short and/or
longer ride. We always ensure we remain together by having regular stops
to regroup. Distances range from 25 km to 60 kms plus. We
often ride to Moorilla Winery, Richmond, Kingston, and Fern Tree
return. Introductory ride held on the last Sunday of each
month. Usually a short-ish distance/flat terrain and often include riding
along the Hobart intercity cycleway. Just show up with your bike, ready to ride, talk to those present on the day, Sundays, 10.00am, near the Machine Cafe in Salamanca Square, Hobart
