Bike Futures Hobart 2017
Our Bike Futures conference returns to Hobart after an absence of several years – and there’s no more critical time to be talking bike infrastructure and liveable cities.
Hobart City Council is consulting widely on a new transport strategy for the next decade, UTAS is strongly influencing the city’s transport future with its CBD developments, the State Government wants to encourage more of its employees to walk or ride to work, parking is reaching its limits, the e-bike is encouraging more riders.
And we are 12 months away from a State election.
The conference is on March 9. with the morning session being held at the UTAS Domain House and the afternoon session being held at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies.
UTAS has come on board as a sponsor, joining the Department of State Growth which is funding the conference.
We are in the final stages of confirming speakers, with the complete program just weeks away. Stay tuned for details as they are confirmed.
