Have your say on Cambridge

Cambridge is being opened up for development, with new streets and residential areas being built.  The Draft Cambridge Masterplan is out for public consultation, and Clarence Council wants your feedback by Friday 10 June - yes, this Friday!

Good things for bike riders in the plan:

  • painted onroad bike lanes on both sides of Cambridge Road to connect to the existing Kennedy Drive bike lanes
  • a shared offroad path for walking and riding along the Barilla Rivulet (which should connect to Belbins Rd but doesn't quite reach that far on the plan)
  • better footpaths and road crossing points to improve safety for walkers and footpath riders
  • keeping options open for future connections to the Tangara Trail.

It's important that Council receives feedback from people who think the bike lanes and Barilla Rivulet Track are a good idea as they are bound to get comments opposing cycling infrastructure.

You can provide quick feedback via the online form at: http://www.ccc.tas.gov.au/page.aspx?u=1888#e1256
