To Become a Member of Bicycle Tasmania

Note for the forth year in a row BT has kept the membership fees the same. This is in large part due to the income derived from events such as the BIG RIDE, Bike Week Century Ride, Half Century Ride, Tour de Femme, and valet bike parking, all of which is run by wonderful volunteers like yourself.

Membership Year and Insurance Coverage

The Bicycle Tasmania (BT) membership year and insurance coverage runs from 1 January thru to 31 December of each year. If you join BT in October through to December of the previous year, or January through to March of the current year, you pay the BT standard annual fee, and your membership and insurance expires on December 31 (membership for 12 to 15 months). If you join BT in April through to September of the current year, you only pay the BT concession annual fee and your membership and insurance expires on 31 December of that year. For membership renewals (normally paid before the end of the year) you pay the standard BT annual fee, which extends your membership and insurance for another year.

Fill In The Membership Form

  1. Print one copy of the BT membership form (PDF file 141KB). Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader
    1. Complete name and birth date details for all family members as appropriate.
    2. All family members must be at the same address.
    3. If you are an existing member and your details have remained unchanged, do not fill in the address.
    4. Indicate if you are an existing member.
    5. Decide if you want to receive Australian Cyclist magazine.
    6. Sign up a friend who is not already a member and you are eligible for a $5 discount.
    7. Sign the form
  2. Enclose a cheque or postal order for the total amount, or record and enclose payment details (see below for more details).
  3. Post the form and any payment to:

Membership of Bicycle Tasmania is open to anybody living in Tasmania who cycles, or has an interest in cycling. Membership is also open to any Tasmanian State or Local Government Authority with an interest in cycling in Tasmania. Bicycle Tasmania is a member of the Bicycle Federation of Australia (BFA) and is represented on the State Bicycle Advisory Committee (SBAC) and has representatives on several local Councils.

Bicycle Tasmania is made up of cyclists with interests in all forms of cycling.
