Have to pay Wayne $72 for the latest Spoke mailout. 7.2 Ruth Lawless ACTION Tim: follow-up/ suggest that Ruth produces checklist in case of accident – maybe for back of membership form. 7.3 Paypal ACTION Kate or Andrew: setup Paypal account and test. PS. (from Andrew) – on an $80 membership we will loose $2.40 in fees. Suggest that direct deposit bank details be provided to existing members on request – have since seen this on other websites. 7.4 Insurance Update ACTION Kate: arrange through broker for refund from cancellation of Tolstrup policy on 1st January 2005. ACTION Tim: immediate letter to all members regarding fee changes. Motion by Kate, seconded by Tim that fees be: single membership $80 family membership $115 concession $15 for single or family Members to renew membership based on existing fee structure between now & 1st January. Pay balance on 1st January. Need to tighten up on proof of concession. BT will not refund/credit any personal accident insurance, but will refund/credit basic membership against new fees on 1st January. Single fee breakdown: CA:$35 + BT:$25 + BFA:$10? + spare:$10. 7.5 Fostering Sustainable Behaviour Workshop Tim attended and discussed. 8 Committee and Other Reports 8.1 Brighton BUG No report. 8.2 Kingborough BUG Tim reported Greg Clausen was working on bike plan. ACTION Tim: contact Greg Clausen – Rowan Burns has already produced a plan. 8.3 Clarence BUG No report. 8.4 Glenorchy BUG No report. 8.5 Hobart BUG Ambrose reported 1) Boral Site - Gravel on road. Ensure regular cleaning 2) Hydrants on Bridge - DIER officers considering painting /reflective materials 3) Bicycle Act - MB had a discussion with DIER officer 4) Dogs on Cycleway - Advice from Enforcement Section is that ranger/officers regularly patrol the cycleway 5) Future work - Sandy Bay Road Bike Lanes 6) South Hobart Rivulet Track started signage/ maintenance/ possible extension. 8.6 CyclingSouth Tim reported Rowan Burns office moving to Glenorchy. 8.7 Web Site – Andrew Total hits for month 4775 compared to 3519 last month. ACTION Kate: provide details of “commando ride”. 8.8 Membership – David David reported 50 paid members (around half of membership has recently elapsed). David away until 28th August. Wayne offered to help out. 8.9 Bicycle Lights Working At Evans Street Ken White reported (email) that the bicycle crossing lights at Evans Street are now turned on and working. 8.10 Spoke postage Tim reported that PrintPost scheme looks like it will work – adopt for next Spoke. ACTION Tim & Wayne: as required. 9 New business 9.1 Spoke Editorship Tim wants someone else to take over by net AGM.
