Bicycle Network is the largest member based riding organisation in the Southern Hemisphere with nearly 50,000 members. It is a health promotion charity that increases physical activity by getting More People Cycling More Often. Bicycle Network runs iconic events such as Bupa Around the Bay, the RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride and Wiggle Newcastle Challenge, conducts behaviour change programs such as Ride2School and Ride to Work, as well as campaigning to improve bike riding facilities throughout Australia, and promoting the rights of riders.
We have an exciting opportunity for an engaging and influential communicator who is passionate about the health of the community, and about making it easier for people to ride bikes. This role is part time, and will focus on campaigning for and influencing the development of bike riding facilities in Tasmania’s North/North West. This position will also work closely with another team member based in Hobart, and will be part of the Melbourne based Government and External Relations team.
