Acton MTB rogaine
A great chance to roam around the area from Seven Mile Beach south through Lauderdale and down to Sandford, on foot or MTB. This area has some beautiful coastline and hills, and the map will make the best use of the wonderful Tangara trail network that weaves throughout the area. With the chance for an easy and scenic stroll with maybe a stop for a cup of coffee along the way, or a challenging run or ride as you try and get all those controls, this course will have something to offer everyone.
But what does it involve? Is it weird or actually a really great thing you will wish you had discovered earlier? This might answer your questions:

Perhaps MTB event organisers are already reviewing their rules for power-assisted bikes. Sticking to legal definition of bicycles would be a good start i.e. assisted/auxiliary power.
-
You would get by if you can read a street directory, but you might avoid some climbing if you know what contours mean!
-
I expect electric bikes would be allowed, although it would be a new situation. Very much about everyone having a go.

What about electric bikes, are they allowed?

This looks like an interesting event. Do you have to know how to read a map?
