Bike counting in central Hobart
Thank you to all our lovely volunteers. We now have all shifts filled and two people with no shift. If anyone wants to sign up, there might be shifts over at the Sandy Bay campus. We are also counting there and covering more sites and more than two times per day. HOWEVER, the CBD sites are now completely full.
I've got panniers loaded with t-shirts and looking forward to seeing everyone out there this week!

In collaboration with the University of Tasmania, we are collecting data at three locations in central Hobart: IMAS on the waterfront (Castray Esplanade), Centre for the Arts (Hunter St), and Medical Science (Liverpool St).
We need some bike movement counts to build on the great results from the travel survey of 2013.
About the Survey: There are 30 x 2 hour slots to fill. At each of the three locations, we would like to be able to cover 7:30-9:30am and 3:30-5:30pm.

These data are important for making arguments around improving bike parking/showers and the road/path infrastructure to get people to UTAS safely. We're asking for your address so that we can post out count sheets and maps. You can choose to get all this electronically if you like, but at some point we'll need to print it out anyway.
This is the first time we've used the 'allocate shifts' function in the web page, so please let me (Emma) know if it's not working using the event contact details. Please nominate a location if you have a preference by posting a comment on the events page or emailing either [email protected] or [email protected]
