Tuesday 2 June

Devonport Council Chambers, off Fenton Way, Devonport.

Local residents and businesses are invted to attend a community meeting for the inaugural Peaks Challenge Cradle Mountain, which will be held on Sunday 1 November, 2015.  Bicycle Network’s General Manager of Events, Darren Allen, encouraged all locals, businesses and tourism operators to come along to the community meeting and learn more about the event.  Anyone who is interested in volunteering or taking part in the ride is also welcome to attend.

Peaks Challenge Cradle Mountain is the latest addition to Bicycle Network’s expanding Peaks Challenge series, which already includes Peaks Challenge Falls Creek (Victoria) and Peaks Challenge Gold Coast (Queensland).  With 1,200 riders expected to take part in November, the event will showcase some of Australia’s most spectacular landscapes and put a national spotlight on Tasmania’s north-west.

“Peaks Challenge Cradle Mountain is unlike any other event run in Tasmania to date and we’re keen for the local community to get involved and showcase their region,” Mr. Allen said.  “Our community meetings are a great opportunity to chat to our events team, ask any questions about the ride and find out what opportunities exist community groups and businesses.”
