Easy Opener along the Riverside – Don to Latrobe and back
The “Great Foreshore” ride from Don to the Mersey River bridge, over the river on the pathway, then along the cycle route on River Rd to Latrobe, with a turnaround at the Post Office. Maybe a coffee before returning, mostly by the same route in reverse, with a short diversion at the end, across the new ‘Sawdust Bridge’ over the Don River.
A great ride for beginners seeking to extend a little. The only hill is short and easy at the start. The rest is a cruise. If you feel you might be over extending, turn around early.
35km with total 308m ascent (made up mostly of lots of little ones). Shared sealed pathway or cycle lane most of the way.
Easier option – early turnaround
