E-bike coffee club goes to MONA
We're riding to MONA for coffee, come for a ride!
Enjoy a relaxed ride with fellow riders of e-bikes, on quiet roads and offroad bikepaths through the northern suburbs. There is a small hill to climb in Lutana, which suits e-bikes of course, but riders with strong legs are also very welcome! We'd welcome visitors in town for the Urban Design Conference on the following days - you could hire a bike from HobartBikeHire or RollCycles.
We'll relax over coffee at MONA. Then some might decide to stay and enjoy the art, while others will return to town along the safe and smooth InterCity Cycleway. You'll be able to check out a new route, develop your e-bike knowledge and gain confidence in managing your e-steed on Hobart's bikepaths and roads.
27km, back about 1pm. 2-B-27. Your Ride Leader will be Di Elliffe.
Note: this is a "fair weather ride" :) We'll cancel around 5pm the day before if rain looks likely, and will advise people who've RSVP'ed.
Here's a link to our Ambassador Route describing the ride and including a map for navigation.
Meet at the Hobart Cenotaph carpark, 10 minutes before the start time of 10.00am.
Our fortnightly In The Loop email newsletter also gives a heads'up on scheduled rides. You can register here if you don't already receive In The Loop - make sure you tick: "Advocacy - campaigns and programs".
Bicycle Network Tasmania makes every effort to ensure our organised rides are safe, however participants are advised to ensure they have insurance against accidents. The best option is to become a member of Bicycle Network. This ensures you have excellent year-round 24/7 cover against both Personal Injury and Third Party Personal/Property damage whilst riding your bike.
Please note - if there are any riders under 16 years old, the adult with them will take primary responsibility for their safety on the ride.
