Easy Womens Ride - Sandy Bay for coffee
We're celebrating Women's Health Week! Join ride leader Dorothy McCartney on a relaxed, easy ride via the InterCity Cycleway and quiet streets through Battery Point and to Sandy Bay. We'll have coffee and snacks at The Duchess Cafe (of course!) and then return on the recommended route through Battery Point.
A good ride to build confidence and skills. All bikes, all riders welcome. We can go further, or turn around at any point, guided by the group on the day.
This is an easy roll along safe shared paths and quiet streets, and we should be back by about 12pm.
Meet at the carpark at the Boathouse restaurant, Cornelian Bay, before the start time of 10am. Or let us know if you will be joining the ride at a point along the path.
Note: this is a fair weather ride :) People who have RSVP'ed will be advised if the ride is cancelled due to grotty weather.
You can find more information about Bicycle Network Tasmania's Social Rides Program here, including an explanation of the ride descriptor codes.
You can subscribe here for a fortnightly email alert about upcoming Social Rides (note this email does not include other Bicycle Network Tasmania events).
Bicycle Network Tasmania makes every effort to ensure our organised rides are safe, however participants are advised to ensure they have insurance against accidents. The best option is to become a member of Bicycle Network. This ensures you have excellent year-round 24/7 cover against both Personal Injury and Third Party Personal/Property damage whilst riding your bike.
Please note - if there are any riders under 16 years old, the adult with them will take primary responsibility for their safety on the ride.
