Free parking at the Taste
Riding to the Taste is a great experience. Once again this year our excellent volunteers will be on hand to look after your bike while you go off and enjoy food, wine and entertainment. You'll find us near the main entrance, look for our flags.
With our free valet bike parking service in operation, you get to park near the entrance with a minimum of fuss. So convenient! Plus it's always fun to check out other people's bikes and get to know other riders. Our friendly volunteers are on hand to answer riders' questions and help out travellers. You can pick up a Hobart Bike Map or some of our free stickers! We also park prams :)
PLEASE NOTE!!! This year the Taste organisers have restricted our hours of operation, due to their budgetary constraints apparently. We have negotiated some improvement, but people parking into the evening will need to bring their own locks to make sure their bikes are secure. Our hours this year are:
28 Dec 11am - 4.30pm
29 Dec 11am - 4.30pm
30 Dec 11am - 4.30pm
31 Dec 10am - 3pm
1 Jan 11am - 4.30pm
2 Jan 11am - 4.30pm
3 Jan 11am - 4.30pm
Wondering how to get there? It's an easy ride down the Inter City Cycleway from the north. From the southwest you can roll down the Hobart Rivulet path and thread through relatively quiet city streets. From the south you can spin along the Sandy Bay Rd bikelanes and challenge yourself on Bath Street as you come through quiet Battery Point (can't wait for the Battery Point pathway to be built!!).
