2014 Hobart Pride Ride

On Sunday, Bicycle Network Tasmania assisted Tas Pride with organising a social ride in support of the LGBT community and to celebrate the life of acclaimed chef Chris Jackman.  The riders gathered at Cornelian Bay on a perfect spring morning, a number admitting they had not been out on their bikes for a while.  Several bikes were given the once over by BNT's Greg Dutkowski and Peter Thurling, to make sure brakes were working and wheels were spinning smoothly.

It was a relaxing roll along the InterCity Cycleway, and a good chance to chat.  The riders at the front stopped several times to make sure we all stayed together as a group.  We made a noisy entrance at the Farm Gate Market, and after parking our bikes at BNT's Bike Valet Parking, headed over to check out the entries in the Chris Jackman memorial bakeoff. Yummo.

Riders can check out the photos from the ride here.
