The defective helmets, sold nationally between October 2012 and April 2014, are designed to be used with skateboards, bicycles and scooters. But an investigation launched after a customer returned a damaged helmet found that the straps may fail during a fall or accident.
Customers are being advised to stop using the helmets immediately and return them for a full refund.
Helmets included in the recall have the serial number FM-170/2500 (found on a sticker inside the helmet) and include coloured and patterned helmets with the following descriptions:
Skate helmet black S/M, XS/S
Skate helmet pink S/M, XS/S
Skate helmet splat S/M, XS/S
Skate helmet camo S/M, XS/S
Roller Derby skate helmet S/M
