Loving Riding in Clarence - 2 CANCELLED
Sorry, cancelled due to the wild wind and rain forecast.
Living well in Clarence of course means loving riding in Clarence! This year we are joining in the Living Well in Clarence event, which is sponsored by the City of Clarence. We will have a presence in the lifestyle show at the Rosny Library on Saturday 3 November, and we'll lead two rides from there to enjoy some of the excellent bikepaths that locals can ride every day.
This is a great opportunity to dust off your bike if you've not been on it for a while, and to get your legs moving on a safe and easy ride with friendly fellow riders. You can have your bike checked by an expert before we set off, to make sure the tyres are pumped and the brakes are working OK.
All bikes, all riders welcome. It's an easygoing outing designed to be fun for everyone. We'll start on safe separated paths and then graduate to quiet suburban streets once people have got their riding legs sorted. Almost flat, only about 6km, and we'll be taking it easy (2-A-6 in our bike ride code).
Ride Leaders will be Matt Drake and Di Elliffe.
Pls register by RSVP'ing below. This is a Free ride, so bring a friend for even more fun!
Meet in the carpark of Rosny Library, 46 Bligh Street at 10:45am, to commence the ride at 11:00am.
You can find more information about Bicycle Network Tasmania's Social Rides Program here, including an explanation of the ride descriptor codes.
Our fortnightly In The Loop email newsletter gives a heads'up on scheduled rides. You can register here if you don't already receive In The Loop - make sure you tick: "Advocacy - campaigns and programs".
Bicycle Network Tasmania makes every effort to ensure our organised rides are safe, however participants are advised to ensure they have insurance against accidents. The best option is to become a member of Bicycle Network. This ensures you have excellent year-round 24/7 cover against both Personal Injury and Third Party Personal/Property damage whilst riding your bike.
Please note - if there are any riders under 16 years old, the adult with them will take primary responsibility for their safety on the ride.
