Margate Snug Discovery
Check out our latest Ambassador Route, and discover some new trails around Margate and Snug.
Join us on a short but interesting ride around Margate and Snug, experiencing a mix of paths, from quiet bushland trails to brand new bikepaths, with ride leader Di Elliffe.
Because some sections are on lumpy and narrow (but pretty) bushland trails, hybrids or mountain bikes are recommended. There is a short section where we'll push our bikes for a little bit.
Bring snacks for a rest break at Snug Beach. If the group decides, we can have coffee at the Channel Museum before winding our way back to our starting point.
2-A-14. Map here.
Meet at Dru Point Bicentennial Park, before the start time of 10am.
Note: this is a fair weather ride :) People who have RSVP'ed will be advised if the ride is cancelled due to grotty weather.
Also: we've changed the date of this ride - pls note it is now on 6 March 2019.
You can find more information about Bicycle Network Tasmania's Social Rides Program here, including an explanation of the ride descriptor codes.
You can subscribe here for a fortnightly email alert about upcoming Social Rides (note this email does not include other Bicycle Network Tasmania events).
Bicycle Network Tasmania makes every effort to ensure our organised rides are safe, however participants are advised to ensure they have insurance against accidents. The best option is to become a member of Bicycle Network. This ensures you have excellent year-round 24/7 cover against both Personal Injury and Third Party Personal/Property damage whilst riding your bike.
Please note - if there are any riders under 16 years old, the adult with them will take primary responsibility for their safety on the ride.
