Nic's Cradle Challenge 2015

Nic’s Cradle Challenge is a bike ride in honour and memory of Nic Easton.

Nic was a passionate cyclist who was able to challenge and push himself to reach his goals in cycling and throughout his life. When Nic was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2013, his determination and inner strength enabled him to courageously push through the toughest of times with a positive outlook. Nic highly valued the support of those around him and through open, transparent communication of his medical treatment, used the encouragement and support of others to maintain a fighting spirit during the most challenging of times.

Nic and his father Ric first rode from Sheffield to Cradle Mountain and back in 2009, a 126km ride. After Nic's passing in 2014 the first Nic's Cradle Challenge was organised. This beautiful, challenging ride honours the memory and fighting spirit of Nic by challenging participants to push themselves both physically and mentally to complete the route. In doing so Nic's Cradle Challenge also provides the opportunity for riders to support and encourage one another, and to overcome challenges together. Nic's Cradle Challenge raises funds for the Leukaemia Foundation to provide support to families facing treatment and readjusting to a life with blood cancer and to work towards a cure of blood cancer for all.

There are rides of different distances to cater for all abilities.

Visit the Nic's Cradle Challenge website for more information or to register.
