Two Rides near Ulverstone ... for Bike Week
Two rides in the North West, easy and less easy....
The first ride is from Turners Beach to Ulverstone and return commencing from 11am on Sunday 23rd March opposite La Mar Café on the Esplanade.
Cyclists follow the coast all the way nearly to the mouth of the Leven River before turning at Otto’s Grotto and retracing their route. This is a flat ride suitable for riders wishing to experience a longer ride with minimal traffic and climbs. Ride Map
A longer ride departing at the same time from Turners Beach caters for riders who like more distance. A 36 k return ride which takes in the Forth River Valley as far as Geales Road before returning via Kindred has a total ascent of 946 metres.
A good calorie burning ride. The downhill section is in the last half of the ride. Options in the area for a bite to eat include the La Mar Café provedore and the Strawberry Farm. Ride Map
An organic Quinoa crop growing at Kindred, a small settlement through which we ride.
