NW E-bike Ride to AEVA Fest
This first e-bike ride to be held in the NW aims to be part of the mass gathering of electric vehicles at the AEVA Festival in Devonport. Riders of any street-legal electric power assisted bicycle are welcome. Parts of this ride are on the shoulder of the Bass Highway, part is on quiet country roads, part is on separated shared paths. This is a ride for confident riders. 2-B-17
Depart: The Berry Patch at Turners Beach, at 9.00 am
Distance: 17 kms
Route: Bass Highway to Waverley Road, Don Hill on wide sealed shoulder. Waverley Road to Saw Dust Bridge, Don Reserve, on sealed Waverley Road. Don Reserve to Coles Beach on sealed, but bumpy, pathway. Coles Beach to Round House Park on sealed purpose-built coastal pathway.
Travel time: Maximum 1.5 hours
Support: Vehicle backup, except through the Don Reserve
Return: Unescorted ride or own arrangement back to Berry Patch, although some transport may be available leaving D’port at 12.30 pm.
Wear: High-vis clothing, helmet, preferably with at least a visible rear light.
Cost : Nil
Insurance: All Bicycle Network members are covered automatically, others should make their own arrangements.
