Penguin - Ulverstone Loop

Our May ride sees us on an old favourite, enjoying the Penguin – Ulverstone coast road.  We'll return to Penguin via the inland, slowly climbing, South Rd with a cooling descent back down into Penguin for lunch.

Time:               Ready to ride off at 11:00 a.m.

Meet:               Lions Park – Surf Club Rd, Penguin (over the railway)

Ride Map:         here

                                24 km with 275m ascending

Mostly quiet roads with some shared pathway in Ulverstone.

Easier option:   Return back along the coast road from Ulverstone, or earlier turn-around.

Lunch:             Lions Park - BYO or plenty nearby take-aways. Toilets available.

Leader:            Roger Nichols

The best option is to become a member of Bicycle Network.  This ensures you have excellent year-round 24/7 cover against both Personal Injury and Third Party Personal/Property damage whilst riding your bike.

Please note - if there are any riders under 16 years old, the adult with them will take primary responsibility for their safety on the ride.
