Ride2School 2017
Phil Joughin, our Ride2School Coordinator in Tassie has had a great time gee-ing up the kids for this year's Ride2School Day.
The national Ride2School Day is Friday 17 March, but Lauderdale Primary decided to go early!
Today they had 115 bikes parked outside, plus a further 50 bikes for the decoration display competition. That makes 165 bikes plus over 18 scooters!
If we include walkers, we think the school managed almost 50% active travel for the day……On a rainy day as well. What a great day for the school.
Here are some of the winners in the best decorated bike comp:
The kids also enjoyed fun rides during recess and lunch, and HandsUp! Counts. Fabulous.
Meanwhile, the kids at Channel Christian School were getting ready yesterday to Ride2School on Friday.
Here's Phil showing the kids how to ride safely, and sorting out some nice pathways to school.
