Ride Leader Skills Workshop
To celebrate the launch of our new Social Rides program, we are offering a free Ride Leader skills development workshop to our members and friends. This is a great opportunity to build your confidence as a ride organiser, able to lead a bunch of both old and new friends on small group rides of your choice. You can contribute to building the riding community, helping others to build their own confidence on their bikes, and getting more people riding.
Would you like to:
- Choose your own favourite rides, and get some good company?
- Invite likeminded people to join you on the occasional ride, maybe even build a regular riding bunch of your own?
- Commit to a regular schedule of rides to build your own fitness, and make sure it happens by inviting others along?
- Show off the great rides in your area?
Then this course is just what you need!
The workshop will be led by Di McHenry, a highly experienced and accreditted trainer, based in Launceston. Successful participants will be accreditted as Bicycle Network Tasmania Ride Leaders.
The workshop will be held at our office, at the Old Malthouse, 210 Collins St, Hobart, on Sunday 6 September.
Start time is 9am, and the workshop will run for 3 hours.
Depending on demand, places will be prioritised for Bicycle Network Tasmania members, and for previously accreditted riders looking to brush up their skills.
Participants should bring their own bike (let us know if that is difficult and we'll work out a solution).
If you would like to book a place in the workshop, Register using the form below. We'll get back to you before the workshop with final details.
