Valet parking at the Taste
Our summer valet bike parking season kicked off with the Sustainable Living Festival last month. Coming up soon we have:
- Taste of Tasmania
- New Year's Day concert at MONA
Sally, our Valet Parking Coordinator, is doing a great job pulling the rosters together. She advises that we’ve filled the roster for NYD, but are looking for more volunteers for the Taste.
"In my opinion, valet bike parking is the best way to do the Taste, as you can take turns heading off to search for some delicious food, and come back and enjoy it in the relative peace and quiet of the shady and spacious Bicycle Network marquee, conveniently located right at the entrance to the Taste. No need to jostle with other patrons for a good seat, or pay $20 to book a seat".
This year, we’re offering a sweetener for those hardy souls who volunteer for an evening shift. In recognition of the fact that it can be a little less pleasant than a daytime shift (down jacket recommended), we’re providing a $30 Taste card to all evening shift volunteers. You can spend this on anything at the Taste, and even cash in any unspent amount.
